Discovered  I was discovered by a Mode Model talent scout at the Calgary stampede (a huge rodeo/ fair). She gave me a card and suggested I should go check out the Mode booth. I use to be pretty shy (and secretly I still am lol) so modelling seemed like a pretty scary prospect. I thank my parents for convincing me there was nothing to lose in going for it and my friend, Courtney Hunt, for inviting me to the Stampede in the first place and convincing (threatening) me to check it out. I owe them big-time!

Best Modelling Moment  I did a shoot in Colombia for FQ magazine with the photographer Geoff Barrenger. The location was really remote, like an hour long bus ride outside of the city and then a trek down a mountain side with some SUV’s, and even a horse. The location was fresh out of Jurassic Park and the shots turned out really beautifully. At the end of the day we where eager to get off the mountain before dark. Only then did we find out the SUVs where out of gas and the eccentric (very eccentric) land owner had taken our horse. The only option left was to hike back to the bus. The walk was tiring but well worth it, I have never seen a prettier sunset! I had so much fun that day I totally forgot it was my birthday.

Awkward Modelling Moment  So many to choose from! My personal favourite was the first time I went to Mode after they signed me. I was going to go in and do my very first test shoot. They got me all dressed up and pretty from head to toe and equipped me with heels. This was my first ever heel experience and I couldn’t walk; all I could manage was sort of a hobble. The awkward part was the heels where under an inch and a half high.

Favourite Markets  New York is my favourite so far. The city is so saturated with talent. There is never a dull moment and always something to do!

Most embarrassing song on your iPod?  Let me go check. Ok I got one, Chris de Burgh's “Patricia the stripper”. Oh my gosh that is the best song if you ever need a laugh!
