Erica Krauter

Erica Krauter is from a small Ontario town called Scotland. She is one of Olsen's most recent discoveries to gain a high profile on the world stage.

Her introduction to Olsen was the result of a carpentry accident sustained by her father. While in hospital he shared a room with an art director who told the Krauter clan to get in touch with Olsen.

Now at 15, just a few months in the business, Krauter has walked the runway for Fendi and is signed with IMG.

Mary Gair describes Elmer Olsen as "one of the happiest people I know." Her daughter, Audrey is 15, and is represented by EOM. "Elmer cares about the models first as people and then as models. If Elmer thinks you have a chance in this business, you really do. In fact as soon as he is interested in a girl then everyone else is too – agents, clients. He has tremendous credibility in this industry."

In the three years since her daughter started with Olsen, Gair has been very happy. The sleazy people she expected to meet still have yet to surface. Interestingly, Gair thinks Olsen's reputation might have something to do with that. "Sometimes it's apparent that they respect Elmer so much they want to make Audrey and I happy - they want us to give him positive feedback about our experience."

The only disappointment Gair expresses is something a lot of younger models and their parents learn about Toronto. "I thought there was more work in Toronto than there actually is."

Honorine was passed over by two other Toronto agencies before being spotted on the street by Elmer Olsen.

While I was in the office she landed an eight-page spread in an upcoming edition of Flare Magazine.
