Strong photographers, inexpensive living and faithful clients, some of which will re-book models up to 20 times a year, make Montreal a market to be reckoned with.

Montreal is known as the hometown of brands such as Le Château, Jacob, Buffalo Jeans, Parasuco, Reitmans (and its countless sub-brands). So even for the models working on bigger markets like New York, Montréal is a place to get good commercial and editorial work. The rates usually vary between $2,000.00 and $4,000.00 a day and the usages are generally Canada only, so it never comes in conflict with American bookings.

Models can also get some great French tearsheets from the likes of ELLE Québec, Clin d'Oeil, Châtelaine - always good to let your American clients think you've shot that last editorial in France ;) !

All teams speak both French and English, and are used to working with foreign models, so language is never a barrier.

Although the market is competitive, the mood on castings and sets is always pretty relaxed - I guess it's because we're Latin at heart, so pleasure always has to be part of work.
