1 Model Management, the wildly successful company founded five years ago by former Karin Models President Scott Lipps, has recruited Giovanni Bernardi to take charge of international scouting.
Bernardi, the founder and namesake of Giovanni in Montréal and Toronto, has been a successful entrepreneur in many projects, including the creation of Montréal's Orbit Hair Salon and Cube Restaurant.
A statement released to Modelresource says "Giovanni Models Inc in Canada will continue to be completely independent and provide the same quality of service to its valued models and clients."

Anita Norris
Modelresource is furiously typing away to get our Anita Norris profile online.
The head of scouting for Wilhelmina, Norris features prominently on a new VH1 reality show called "The Agency."
The show premieres in February, following the day-to-day routine at Wilhelmina's New York office.
Norris is from London, Ontario, and modelled for close to 10 years in Milan before becoming a top scout.

Siovan (Ford), also a Chantale Nadeau model
Modelresource sat in for a taping of Deal or No Deal Canada this week (I'm in the front row!), cheering on the outstanding Canadian Models.
Unfortunately there was a strict no-photography policy, but what a fascinating experience.
Modelresource readers are going to recognize several of the faces that appear on the show, including Chantale Nadeau and former Modelresource contributor Veronique Landry (who happens to be a Chantale Nadeau model).
Other familiar faces include Brandy Alexander & Tenika Davis from season one of Canada's Next Top Model.
Elite's Allison MacGillivray will be away from the office for about a month, as Elite Model Look hits Marrakech, Morocco.
The booker has been keenly involved with eml for a few years, as a chaperon.
Models from 50 nations will compete in this year's event, which runs from January 30th to February 12th.
Canada's entry, Leigh Martin, will be very busy. The models will prep for the first week, before participating in events throughout Marrakech between the 5th and the 12th.
This is the 23rd edition of eml, and was supposed to happen in Thailand late last year. Political instability in that region however, forced the event's relocation.
Following the event MacGillivray will take some personal time travelling around the region.

Kate Somers
Video from the 2007 Ford Supermodel of the World is now available (below).
Following the runway show watch for the announcement of the top five finishers, which includes Toronto's Kate Somers (who shared fourth spot).
After arriving in Paris just a week ago she has already confirmed a slew of Couture shows, including Jean Paul Gaultier, Franck Sorbier, Mark Le Bihan, Gavin Rajah, Richard René, Nicolas Le Cauchois, Georges Hobeika and Yahya, and is on option still for others.
As if that wasn't keep her busy enough, she has also shot for a new face editorial feature for popular French magazine, Tecknikart.

The Canadian Model's Resource
Aspiring models in the Toronto area will soon be able to get a taste of the industry at their local library.
The Toronto Public Library recently purchased 28 copies of the guide to distribute around the metro area.
If you're interested in obtaining your own copy (so you don't have to keep returning to the library and hoping it's there), you can do so securely from Trafford Publishing's website.
Lisa Porter returned to Paris this weekend, where she is represented by Success.
The B&M model, who Modelresource first told you about in the summer, has already had a very positive three-month stay in the City of Lights.
More details of Porter's first trip to France can be found on the "In the Loop" section of B&M's website.

Billie Jazz
Ever since the first LOU LOU arrived to Modelresource two years ago, I've been somewhat hooked. I learn so much from that magazine. To be honest though, I wasn't always fond of the photography.
This month however, I'm loving Patrice Massé's contribution, featuring Folio's Billie Jazz in a romantic lingerie story.
2007 is underway, and with the start of the New Year comes the launch of the new moo.
www.mooking.com, the online home of David moo King in now up, and featuring a new section of video.
His first live-action subject is is no surprise to those that have been following his work over the past year. It's Next's Julia Stone, who has been moo's favourite muse (moo-ze?) for the past many months.
