Next Canada is welcoming a couple new faces though the door, in entirely different capacities.
Tristan Tran, who helped coordinate Modelresource's 2005 New Face Preview just signed on as the agency's newest staff member.
One of his first orders of business was to let Modelresource know about Lynne Crocker.
Says Tran "I saw her at The Drake during film fest, and was *sure* she had an agency, but then she told she's never modelled before! 5'9", 23, just graduated from Film School at UofT, and already has incredible buzz on the editorial grid here.

Kim Noseworthy
As Modelresource prepares for the show packages leading up to L'Oréal Fashion Week, one model we expect to see included in Giovanni's is Kim Noseworthy.
The Calgarian's chart has been jammed lately, including lucrative gigs like L'Oréal Hair and La Senza.
Another Giovanni girl we usually expect to see in Toronto, Genevieve Pantano, likely won't be appearing in this season's show package however.
Genevieve Pantano
Modelresource has been watching Pantano's portfolio develop over the past couple years, and the newer work is simply gorgeous.
With her distinctive face and dark brown tresses she has always been an attention grabber, but the expression and maturity she is bringing to her newer work is proof she's raised herself to a whole new level.
We're told however, the blue-eyed brunette will be in Montréal, where her stunning visage is likely to serve her very well.
The results of that shoot have now been released in the most recent issue of FQ... and they're incredible.
Cote is currently modelling in Paris.

Liis Windischmann
Canada's top plus-size model, Liis Windishmann (Ford), will grace the cover of the 2007 Fenomenal Calendar, which will feature models from the world's top agencies.
A media release sent to Modelresource describes the calendar as "a tribute to the 1940’s and 1950’s pin-up models and to an era in which voluptuous women were celebrated and clothing accentuated the curvy female form."
It will highlight important but lesser known, sometimes whimsical holidays including International No Diet Day (May 6), Best Friends Day (June 8), Be Yourself Day (August 29), National Chocolate Day (December 28), and October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Modelresource will provide more information as to the calendar's availability in the coming weeks.

Runway star-in-the-making Alana Zimmer
It's no secret Canadians have been getting a lot of attention these past few years... and if the new crop of Canucks have their way the racket is going to continue for years to come.
Cases in point:
MDC Model of the Week Kat Shandruk
·Alana Zimmer: Elmer Olsen's newest star, who Models.com placed in their Top Ten Newcomers list, with the following prognostication: "Once the booking action switches to Milan, expect Ms Alana Zimmer to be a model most coveted. All the stars are aligned!"
·Kat Shandruk: The alluring brunette that stole this writer's attention in the Mode Models' office a few months back. She's the current Model of the Week on Models.com.
·Cierra Jonasson: Another Mode girl; her photo landed in my morning e-mail as the featured model in Hintmag.com's monthly newsletter.
It's also worth noting that after a major shakeup in the Models.com list of Top 50 females, Canada still lists eight in the top 25, including three with top 10 status.

Sutherland's Gabriella Carroccio and Veronique Landry
Modelresource is pleased to introduce our newest overseas contributor, Chantale Nadeau's Veronique Landry.
We first met the 18-year-old when she was doing the rounds prior to the last L'Oréal Fashion Week and have been following her career ever since.
Now the 5'11 Québecoise is travelling to Australia for her first overseas experience.
Summer is just beginning down under, so the timing couldn't be much better.
Elite is excited to have one of their new faces swinging through Toronto to do the rounds this week.
5'9", 18-year-old Marah is coming in from Ottawa Thursday and Friday and is available for go-sees.

Irina Lazareanu
Fashion media are still singing the praises of Irina Lazareanu this season.
She's been the toast of the modelling community for most of 2006, and this article in the U.K.'s Guardian newspaper suggests that trend is not waning.
Lazareanu, who is represented by Giovanni, has a stellar list of New York runways. As of Friday we had record of her appearances in:
Marc Jacobs
Zac Posen
Anna Sui
Michael Kors
Marc by Marc Jacobs
Narciso Rodriguez
Max Azria
Proenza Schouler
Luella
J. Mendel
PHI
Richard Chai
Rodarte
Jill Stewart
Jovovich-Hawk

Laura Virdo, Ylenia Aurucci, Brandon Hall & Sisi Wang
Toronto artist rep Judy Inc celebrated seven years Thursday by inviting several hundred of their closest friends to a downtown soirée.
Among the faces in attendance included several of the finalists from Canada's Next Top Model (we spotted Ylenia, Tenika, Alanna and Sisi), along with staff from Sutherland.
As Olympus Fashion Week gets under way today, have a look at the Canadians being put forward by Elite New York.
Interestingly, all six are from Alberta or B.C.

Alexandre de Bellefeuille in Elle Québec
Although I haven't seen the October issue of Elle Québec, I was able to get a copy of page 124, which features Folio booker Alexandre de Bellefeuille in a special men's feature.
In case you're curious, yes, this is how he always dresses.
September 7, 2006
Modelresource first heard rumours about this waaaa-aayyy back in December, but couldn't confirm anything until recently.
Now we're told the models have been informed and it's time to tell the world... Elite Canada is vacating its present confines and taking over a brand new, custom-built space in the revitalized east end of downtown.
The bright new building features elevators opening into the office, and several other conveniences that have Elite's staff eagerly anticipating the move.

Jessi M'Bengue
In less than six weeks with Code Models, Jessi M'Bengue has already added some impressive jobs to her résumé.
According to her equally busy mother agent, Chantale Nadeau, M'Bengue has already nabbed editorials for Blink, The Ave, Cosmo Girl, Bride and well-known Euro mag S Magazine.
Add to those a national Macy's ad that will appear in Seventeen and Teen Vogue, and top it off with the start of show season, where the 5'9" beauty has already been confirmed for H. Fredriksson.

artistsbytimothypriano.com
There's a new artist management firm working the Montréal-Toronto corrider... well... new to Canada, anyway.
Artists by Timothy Priano commenced northern operations at the start of September, and consistent with its U.S. pattern it primarily cohabitates with Next Models (Chicago being the exception, where it shares space with Chosen).
The northern sites, under the supervision of Cedric Lefort and Marine Godfroy, already feature several established artists, while a browse through the international division reveals a name well known to Modelresource readers: Beau Nelson.

Agnieszka Wichniewicz
Mode Models has posted their list of models in New York this show season, and it's impressive.
Big news from the B&M camp, where Carolyn Hayes made such an impression while shooting the recent Hollister Christmas campaign, she has been re-booked to shoot the next one.
The 5'9" blonde jets off for sunny California for a two day shoot in the middle of this month.
Not surprisingly, B&M booker Emma Barker describes Hayes as "one happy girl."

Darius Corunga
Stylus Canada's Darius Corunga is quickly making an impression in New York, where he's signed to Vision.
According to Toronto-based booker Jarrett Plyley, Corunga already has nine options lined up for this week, despite having just landed in Manhattan seven days ago.
The image on the left, taken by Richard Bernardin, appears in the new issue of Elle Québec.
According to Folio booker Alexandre de Bellefeuille, the 5'10", blonde-haired mannequin is becoming very popular, very quickly.

Kelly MacDonald by Brian Ypperciel
This is Elite's Kelly MacDonald in the new Nylon by Dex campaign, shot by Brian Ypperciel.
Modelresource first heard about the 5'8½ brunette a few weeks back, when Specs booker Andrée-Anne Mauffette told us about this particular direct-booking.
Montréal clients, we were told, loved the Haligonian. She will be back in la belle province for Montréal fashion week, before heading to Toronto for L'Oréal Fashion Week.
"Not bad," says Elite booker Matti Gidilevich, "for a girl in the business for less than two years who's still in school full time in Halifax."

Giovanni Women's Page
It's been a good year for Toronto agency websites, with most of the majors getting dramatic online overhauls.
The latest is Giovanni's, which we're told will still be tweaked in the weeks ahead, but is already online and functional.
The new site - which can be found at www.giovannimodels.com - delivers some impressive large photos of the models and artists.
