Linda Evangelista was listed on the first few ballots, and never relinquished her spot at the top.
Near the end of the race her support slipped a bit as voters tried to move other models into better placements, however the St. Catharines, Ontario native still finished with the most comfortable lead of the three races.
Donalda, Alberta's Tricia Helfer held off a late charge from Belleville, Ontario's Liisa Winkler for second spot.
Helfer, now starring in the Battlestar Galactica series, received steady support throughout the five weeks of balloting.
